Ministerial Decisions

Following negative recommendations from the RAC and the RAT, it is open to an applicant to apply directly to the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform for leave to remain under 2 headings.  An applicant can apply for Subsidiary Protection which while intended to be a residual category it encompasses those persons who, while not considered refugees, are still deserving of international protection.  Applicants may also apply for Leave to Remain on Humanitarian Grounds, a more general application based on the specific circumstances of the applicant.  Please follow the links for more information.
